St Olafs
Many of the staff and Mrs. Madani share Norwegian heritage which inspired the much loved St. Olaf’s Day festival.
Preparations start weeks in advance as the St. Olaf team get together to make lefse, cookies, cakes, rice pudding, sweet and sour cabbage, meatballs fish and glogg.
The day of the big event guests appreciate the traditional Norwegian food, sing Norwegian songs and of course put on the big horned Viking hat for photo moments!
Our St. Olaf Day fest for the year of 2006, held on Sunday November 12, benefited the Wyocena public library.
